Open to Black children ages 6-12 whose families have recently immigrated to Canada from the continent of Africa.

About

Early Childhood Development Initiative's (ECDI) STEM program, Solid Foundations for Future Innovators (SFFI), is funded by the Government of Ontario. The science, technology, engineering and math program will provide hands-on, inquiry-based science explorations to strengthen children's critical thinking and collaboration skills, and ignite their interest in STEM-oriented fields. 

Who: Black children ages 6-8 years old (Gr. 1-3) and 9-12 years old (Gr. 4-6) from newcomer families who have recently immigrated to Canada from the continent of Africa

What: FREE, one-week, full day Summer STEM Camp! Includes lunch, snacks, free books and loads of fun! *Children are eligible to attend one week of camp only.

Where: Weston/North York (Wednesday field trip to Toronto Metropolitan University—downtown Toronto)

When:

  • Session 1: July 10-14 (9AM - 4 PM)
  • Session 2: July 17-21 (9AM – 4PM)
  • Session 3: July 24-28 (9AM – 4PM)
