Peel - Find a Job

Being new to a city introduces several new challenges, and finding a job is one of the biggest ones. You might be asking yourself: How can I get a job if I’m new to the city?  How can I know there are jobs out there for me?  Luckily, the Peel Region has a variety of agencies to help youth who are new to the city find work.

The Jobs page of the Peel Region also has an excellent list of job search websites and resources, which you can view by clicking here.  The Peel District School Board also has a list of helpful links to jobs specifically for youth.

There are several public libraries in the Peel Region that you can use free of charge.  You will find modern equipment and computer internet services in most of the public libraries, that is free to use as well.  By visiting the Peel Community Info website and searching for “library” you can easily access a list of libraries in the region.

Lastly, YMCA Centres offer free employment assistance programs for youth.  Use the website to determine which programs are of interest to you and to find out where they are held.  Peel has several YMCA locations.  Find the one closest to you by clicking here.

If you are interested in volunteering in a specific city within the Peel Region, you can search for all available volunteer opportunities here.
