After two years we were accepted as covenant refugees. We only receives the notice of decision (in court). They told me that I could apply for osap and they would ask for sin number and the document of protected persons. The sin number started with 9. Even though I applied on time for osap for a full course load in York university for fall and winter I still ended up not being accepted unless I could show a valid protected person or a sin card the covers the whole year. I don't know what exactly happened but I could not provide the protected person document. I send them the noticen of decision that's the only thing I had. I stupidly waited and thought I'm almost receiving my pr card and the sin card number and the whole would be ok. I received my new sin the one that starts with 5, I'm December somewhere. And when I talked to them they told me it's too late to apply and I should try to apply for the winter term and not fall. However I tried but the system didnt let met through saying I'm too late applying for osap. I don't know what to do. How is this gonna end. Can I de- enroll myself to save money? What steps can I take to makes this less horrible.
